Syed T. Husain Named to DCAT Board of Directors

After two decades as a DCAT volunteer, Made Scientific’s Chairman and CEO brings a cell therapy manufacturer’s perspective to the board.

Syed T. Husain, Chairman and CEO of Made Scientific, has joined the Board of Directors of the Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT). The nonprofit association brings together companies that develop, manufacture, and supply medicines worldwide, and runs learning programs and events throughout the year.

Husain joins a board led by DCAT President Ken Seufert, Chief Executive Officer of JRS Pharma, with directors from companies including Eli Lilly, Lonza, GSK, Boehringer Ingelheim, and West Pharmaceutical Services. Meet the full board.

“DCAT has been part of my professional journey for many years, and I’m honored to join its Board of Directors,” said Husain. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to advance DCAT’s vision and help shape its future.”

Husain serves on DCAT’s Global Conference Committee, where he helps guide the DCAT Summit program. He helped organize the 2025 Summit in Lugano, Switzerland, and moderated its panel, “Patient-First Innovation: Advancing Modalities with Purpose.” He also chaired DCAT’s Education Committee and served on its Advisory Council.

Husain began his career in manufacturing compliance, validation, and product development at Wyeth and Pfizer. His more than 25 years in the life sciences include leadership roles at Lonza, Alcami, and Emergent BioSolutions. Before joining Made Scientific, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Resilience, leading a commercial organization that spanned cell and gene therapies, biologics, vaccines, and nucleic acids.

His appointment adds a cell therapy CDMO’s view to an association whose members span the full bio/pharmaceutical value chain. Made Scientific supports autologous and allogeneic programs from process development through clinical and commercial manufacturing at its GMP sites in Princeton, New Jersey, and East Norriton, Pennsylvania.

Made Scientific looks forward to supporting DCAT’s work in the years ahead. Contact our team.
