Made Scientific Chairman & CEO Named Finalist for Entrepreneur Of The Year New Jersey

Written by Made Scientific | April 23, 2026

Made Scientific announces that Chairman and CEO Syed T. Husain has been named a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2026 New Jersey award, following his nomination by Middlesex County.Led by Ernst & Young, the program is one of the most respected recognitions for entrepreneurs and business leaders. For nearly four decades, it has recognized founders and CEOs who are building and scaling companies through innovation, leadership, and measurable impact.

Finalists are selected by an independent panel of past winners, CEOs, and investors — a cohort of leaders across New Jersey building enduring, high-growth businesses.

Advancing Cell Therapy Manufacturing

Under Husain’s leadership, Made Scientific has built a focused operating model for cell therapy manufacturing, designed to move programs from development to patient delivery with consistency and speed.

As a U.S.-based CDMO specializing in autologous and allogeneic cell therapies, the company addresses one of the field’s defining challenges: translating scientific innovation into reliable, scalable manufacturing. Its approach integrates process development, analytical control, and GMP execution into a single system built for real-world production.

Operating from a 60,000 sq. ft. Center of Excellence in Princeton, New Jersey, Made Scientific supports partners with five GMP cleanrooms, integrated development laboratories, and manufacturing infrastructure aligned to U.S. FDA and EU Annex 1 standards. A 12,000 sq. ft. expansion is underway, incorporating advanced automation and AI-enabled workflows to increase throughput and support growing clinical and commercial demand.

Building with Intent

Beyond building infrastructure, Husain sees the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year platform as an opportunity to give back. "Programs like this create space for founders to learn from each other and set the standard for what leadership looks like in high-growth industries," he said. "If our experience can help shape the next generation of leaders, that's time well spent."

In parallel, Made Scientific continues to invest in the future of the industry through Made Scientific Foundry™, a workforce development program designed to expand the pipeline of GMP-trained talent through hands-on lab training, virtual coursework, and academic partnerships.

What’s Ahead

Husain will participate in finalist interviews in May, with winners to be announced at the regional awards ceremony on June 4, 2026 at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City.

Regional winners will advance to the national competition in November, with the opportunity to compete for the global award in June 2027.
